Scanning artwork is our first step for the production of art cards & giclée prints.

We use professional, colour-calibrated flatbed scanners, to achieve the best possible reproduction of your paintings, drawings and illustrations. Our scans are very sharp and therefore capture every detail of the original.

A3 - £10.00 per scan

Proof It

Colour Proofing for Paper & Canvas Prints

We recommend a HARD PROOF at an additional cost to our scanning service. Requesting a hard proof is advisable to ensure close colour matching but customers may opt to print their orders without a proof. In this scenario Thumbnail cannot except responsibility for any colour related complaints.  If the customer chooses to purchase the print proof and the first one is unsatisfactory, the second proof is free. Any subsequent proofs are negotiable depending on circumstances. Please read our Terms & Conditions.

Proofs are printed using Epson Ultrcrome Inks on a choice of fine art papers - Our standard paper is Epson Radiant (full cotton) White at 300gsm.

Digital Capture to Disc or WeTransfer

For stand-alone scanning services where a high resolution file or files is requested to be used elsewhere, or in the event of an Artist not wishing to renew their Membership, a standard fee of £30.00 is is payable in addition to all the above charges.

NB: All Non Members pay a £2 per image design fee for setting up any new or repeat files at Thumbnail.
