Baleal Storm
Being hugely fortunate to rent an art studio in the oldest part of a 17th century manor farm house is a huge privilege. Conscious of the history and aware of the atmosphere constantly stimulates imagination and creativity.
It may well surprise you to learn that this oasis is within the boundaries of the new town Milton Keynes.
I moved here from Oxford in 1983 to take up my post as consultant general surgeon in the hospital six months before it opened to patients. Around 15 years ago and heading towards retirement I progressively returned to art.
I paint in oils and most of my works are based on nature, sea, land, mountains, skies and pretty much anything that captures my imagination. My work is unashamedly representational and if I come close to capturing the feel of the subject then I am content.
